Driver Spotlight #3: CJ Bush!
CJ is from Flint, MI and has been in the racing scene for 2 years now! CJ races in our All-American Truck Class and Maximum Destruction with his team Get A Grip Racing.
CJ got into racing by watching Brian Dougherty race and then Brian also helped CJ build his first truck. CJ said “I like to race because it’s the most fun I’ve ever had and the whole experience is amazing. From the fans, to the friends and being behind the wheel.” CJ loves to work on his own truck. In his free time, CJ said “my hobbies mainly consist of working on my truck and learning new things about vehicles.”
His friends and family said similar things:
“CJ Works hard to fix his own and others vehicles by himself with just youtube videos. He's very hands on. Loves working on his trucks.” And “He's young and will be racing for a while. He's very happy racing, he takes pride in it and he loves the sport.” CJ’s family also talked about how great of a person he is. “He is a hard worker, very caring person, and loves his family. Loves racing and the competition!”
In 2022, CJ placed Top Five 4 times and Top Ten 11 times with 22 events raced. CJ and his team Get A Grip Racing also won the award “Most Unique Looking Team” this past season at Auto City Speedway!
