2018 Tentative Auto City Speedway Schedule Released!
2018 marks our 63rd year anniversary and we will be making it a summer of fun and excitement!
This year at Auto City Outdoor Event Center it is all about racing, special events and having fun and bringing entertainment to everyone.
Hoping to ride the momentum of 2017, Auto City Speedway is preparing to charge full speed ahead in 2018 with the racing season beginning on Saturday, April 28th. The schedule is packed with special events and touring series in an effort to give the fans a wide variety of entertainment.
The season opener will start out with a Maximum Destruction show also racing are the Pure Stocks, Figure-8 divisions, and All American Truck Series, in “Opening with a Bang”. Test & Tunes starting on April 19th. Much like 2017 schedule, this year’s racing line-up will feature a diverse group of special events, including one show with the “Auto Value Super Sprint Series, Dwarf Cars, V.O.R.A. Vintage Mods, and a JEG/CRA All-Star Series event scheduled on August 4th The Annual Spring swap meet is April 14th.
ICar All-Star Modified Tour is scheduled to race twice at Auto City in 2018, bringing the total Mod shows to three, June 2, and July 14th with the “Windpusher 70” and a Mod show on May 12th.
A new division announced at the Breakfast of Champions- Mini Van Series (not currently named) will debut on May 19th.
In addition to the action-packed race schedule Auto City Speedway will have seven edge of your seat “Maximum Destruction” shows, scheduled for Saturday, April 28th (rain date May 5th), May 26th with a special guest “Tranasaurus, Saturday June 30th with the “Night of Fire”, Saturday July 28th autograph night, Saturday August 11, and Saturday September 1st, with Megasaurus and finale on September 29th a Halloween night-(CANDYRAMA). These nights continue to be some of the most popular and exciting nights at the Speedway.
Lantern Fest 2017 in May was a success and will be back on September 22nd…If you have not seen this or experienced this, this is a FAMILY MUST BE AT EVENT!! TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!!!
Auto City Speedway will go to NO racing on June 16th with some Saturday/Sunday scheduled for the MI Drift series. Also, on June 9th & 10th. High times Magazine has rented the facility for an Expo
A bevy of fan promotions throughout the year includes Kitty Stock races, Lipstick Ladies (formerly known as Powder Puff), Michigan Fan Club Night, and Autograph Nights, $1.00 Kids night, Super Hero Night and more. With such an action-packed and diverse schedule, everyone is sure to find something that fits their interests.
Points will be awarded this year in the Pure Stocks, Figure-8, American Trucks, Mini Vans and Lipstick Ladies.
Keeping pricing the same as last year is sure to help, and hoping to bring out more fans. Auto City is at Family pricing…Pit Family prices are; Adults $30.00. Kids 12-6 $15.00 and kids 5 and under FREE!! We truly hope this has helped a family stay together while racing. Also, prices at the front gate will be... Adults will pay $15-16. (Special events $18-22.) (Depending on the event). ..Seniors- (62 & older) & Military (w/ military ID) $13.00 and kids 12-6-$5.00 and 5 and under FREE!! Maximum Destruction Shows, kids 12 and under will always be FREE. And all Military in uniform will get in FREE!
Again for 2018, perfect attendance bonus will be paid out to all Pure Stocks drivers that race the full schedule with us. Giving back their pit pass money at the annual Breakfast of Champions to be scheduled in October.
A full schedule with promotions will be out near the end of February. Please keep in mind this is not a complete schedule…changes will be made, and other shows are still being looked at.
