American Racer Tires-new in 2014

Clio, Mi (December 19, 2013)-April 26th marks the "official" opening of Auto City Speedway in 2014 season, the “American Racer Tire” from Race Tire America will also celebrate being chosen as the exclusive tire supplier for the racing series at Auto City Speedway

Auto City Speedway in conjunction with Whittemore Speedway is excited and proud to announce that for the 2014 race season, "American Racer" racing tires will be the official new race tire offered to race car drivers & owners. The new tire will also be listed in all related race class rules.  There will be a short use-up period (TBD) at the start of the 2014 season, to allow for un-used Hoosier inventory held by car owners & drivers. News from other Michigan Speedways is expected to be forthcoming.

Racing Tire America (RTA) has a proven superior product that will save the race teams money without loss of performance. Their tires have been tested at several mid Michigan asphalt race tracks in 2013. The results showed more repeatability, without loss of lap time, allowing used tires to be on par with stickers. There is no advantage to purchasing a new set of tires for every race. The tested tires also had an improved (longer) durability period. Most racers are continually seeking out that edge and for them the ideal tire is the fastest tire that can survive the race. That generally means new tires every night and that’s just too expensive for most racers.
