Auto City Speedway
Saturday racing May 2nd
Great weather helped make a great night of racing on Saturday, May 2nd at Auto City. Six divisions were in action along with the "King of the Hill" for the spectator drags, giving the fans a full night of thrills.{nl} Kyle Hayden had fast time for the Auto City Super Stocks with a 15.59. Jeff Owens and "Stormin' Norman" Wilcox took heat race wins. Hayden won the random draw and started on the pole for the 40-lap feature, and he jumped into the early lead. With the top 6 cars qualifying within 5/100 of a second, the field battled closely all the way to the finish. Last week's feature winner Robbie Johnson and defending track champ Terry Bogusz worked their way thru the pack and challenged the leader until they tangled on lap 30 in turn One, sending them both to the rear. It was smooth sailing from there on for Hayden, as "The Professor" led every lap to take the win. Samuel Coulter took second followed by Owens, Pat Zorn and Shaun Whitney.
